Dragon Forest ini biasanya memakan Jangkrik, ulat bumbung, ato pinkies,. namun karena di daerah ku cukup susah buat nyari ulat bumbung apalagi pinkies maka mau ga mau jangkik menjadi makanan pokoknya dengan selingan belalang sebagai tambahan. Untuk media pemeliharaan aku ngegunain aquarium yang ku ubah menjadi terrarium dengan media dasar berupa pasir gunung sehingga padat dengan potongan pohon belimbing tunjuk yang ditumbuhi benalu dan entah cabang pohon apa yg aku juga nemu ni pinggir hutan dekat rumah sebagai tempat nongkrong si Forest Dragon.
Untuk perawatannya sendiri ga terlalu susah cuma tiap pagi selalu ak semprotin air pake sprayer sekalian kasi pakan jangkrik 5-10 ekor sehari, untuk urusan makan mereka cukup rakus soalnya tapi Forest Dragon ku yg cokelat klo makan ga mw diliatin, rada pemalu sementara yg hijau galak banget. Apabila mereka terlihat stress ato warnanya berubah gelap dalam jangka waktu yg relatif lama bisa juga untuk dimandikan, cara ini cukup ampuh mengembalikan warna mereka menjadi cerah lagi.
Memang kebanyakan orang bilang memelihara Forest Dragon sedikit susah bahkan aku malah dikatain "iseng" ma salah satu pemilik pet shop gara-gara melihara ni Forest Dragon, coz kata kebanyakan orang Forest Dragon ini gampang banget mati. Tapi moga aja hal kaya' gitu ga kejadian ma kedua Forest Dragon ku mengingat umur mereka emang baru sebulan tinggal dirumahku,.
